One of the more regal birds to me has always been the Great Blue Heron. But they certainly have the capacity to be goofy as seen with this one sunning itself on some rocks:
After sunning itself a few minutes the GBH took flight, affording me an excellent opportunity to practice some flight shots!

I can not get enough of these herons - they are just so amazing! The top one does look like he is trying to air something out! I am so fed up with blogger the past few days! It has been so buggy and not letting me post. It takes like 15 times before it finally excepts it!! Anyway - why I have not been able to comment. . .
